PRP Facial Rejuvenation
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for facial rejuvenation will reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lines, scars and dark spots. PRP has been found to stimulate new collagen growth in the face, when combined with a controlled injury such as microneedling. New collagen will restore your skin to its more youthful appearance and texture. Many women rely on PRP facial rejuvenation as part of their skin care regiment. How does it work?
- Your blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge by our medical staff. The centrifuge separates the platelet-rich plasma from the red and white blood cells.
- A numbing agent is placed on the face.
- Microneedling will be performed on the face by a member of our medical staff. Microneedling therapy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Microneedling is a common procedure used to rejuvenate the skin.
- The platelet-rich plasma is then injected directly into the face.
